Sight: Galle Fort Tour

Visit the Kosgoda Beach Strip turtle hatchery as part of the Turtle Conservation Journey. Here eggs are collected from the shoreline and allowed to incubate before being released into the ocean. Due to human environmental exploitation six of the seven species of sea turtles are in danger of going extinct.  Thankfully this hatchery is now in charge of keeping them safe.

Sight: Stilt Fishermen Weligama

The stilt fishermen can be seen in the Weligama village, additionally there is a vast stretch of excellent golden sands on this beach for you to enjoy.
