Itinerary

Day 01

Continue to your lodging in Negombo so that you and your family can relax. Go on a city tour and stop by some of the most stunning beaches.

Day 02

See the most colourful examples of churches in Negombo first thing in the morning. In the evening visit Anuradhapura and take a bicycle ride through the oldest city. Explore the magnificent ‘Jetavanarama Stupa' a historic temple and the revered Bo tree the oldest in the nation.

Day 03

On a bicycle tour, discover the historic remnants of Polonnaruwa, a city that perfectly captures the island's historic grandeur. Visit the Gold Cave temples in Dambulla which have UNESCO-designated walls that are 2000 years old.

Day 04

Hike to Sigiriya Rock early in the morning. The famously enormous lion paws guard the stairway to the summit which once held the monarch's palace. Take a city tour that includes a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic after you have checked into your accommodations in Kandy.

Day 05

Learn about the rich Udarata tradition in Kandy. Following that, hike through tea plantations and forests in the Knuckles Range to enjoy breathtaking views of the local wildlife and a variety of flora. Another choice is to take a detour and go to a waterfall. This is a journey that should not be missed by anyone who values solitude and the great outdoors.

Day 06

Enjoy the stunning views of endless verdant tea fields as you travel to Nuwara Eliya which is 1800 meters above sea level in Sri Lanka's hill country. See a tea factory and stop to take in the stunning Ramboda Falls en route. At the factory outlet, you can drink freshly brewed tea, or even purchase your own. Take a city tour later in the evening while it's still cold outside.

Day 07

Wake up in this city and enjoy the beautiful view of the misty clouds. You can hike in the Hortain plains after that, to World’s End, a location known for its stunning views. You might be lucky enough to see Sambar deer grazing in the long grass early in the morning.

Day 08

Travel to Ella from Nuwara Eliya on a lovely train excursion. Among the stunning sights, you will witness the Ravana waterfalls. Go to Udawalawe later in the afternoon and stay the night.

Day 09

Experience the exhilaration of a dawn jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park. In addition to elephants, crocodiles, sambar deer, leopards and wild boars this region is home to a wide variety of migratory and native birds. After that travel to Sinharaja for the night.

Day 10

Following breakfast, take a tour of the Sinharaja Rain Forest with a naturalist. Choose between the two-hour waterfall trail and the three-hour hike. Along with endemic bird species, this hike will offer you the opportunity to see wildlife.

Day 11

Take a walk along the cobblestone lanes this morning to experience the colonial grandeur of the magnificent Dutch Fort of Galle which is regarded as Asia's best-preserved colonial sea fort. The island's oldest breadfruit tree is located inside the Fort.

Day 12, 13

Afterward depart for an enjoyable beach vacation in this seaside city. Spend your free time by the sea, where you can unwind relax and get tanned.

Day 14

On the final day you will head to the airport to depart, marking the end of your journey through Sri Lanka's natural treasures and cultural legacy.
